Installing productivity releases
Download from the linked release page and review its notes and SHA-256 checksums. Checksums help check file integrity; they do not establish that software is safe.
macOS: open the .dmg and drag the app to Applications. These early releases are not yet notarized by Apple. If macOS blocks the app, pause and review its origin and release details before deciding whether to proceed.
Windows: use the .msi installer. If SmartScreen or another security tool displays a warning, pause and review the publisher and release information. Do not ignore a warning you do not understand.
Free to download does not replace a licence. Review each project’s licence, source and documented behaviour, including its data and network use, before relying on it for sensitive work.
